Wedding Dance became very popular today. Beginner dance couples can perform an amazing first dance after only few private dance classes. Wedding Dance -Basic Package: $240:

Three hours of private wedding dance instruction, targeted at those with a prior background in dancing of any kind. If you feel that you simply need a refresher, or to just touch up your skills before the big day, this is the package for you.

Wedding Dance -Standard Package: $375:

Five hours of private wedding dance instruction. If you’ve never danced before, but would like to do something special for your first dance-wedding dance, this package is the best fit. Various figures from your preferred dance(s) will be explained quickly and thoroughly to best prepare you for the occasion.

Wedding Dance -Advanced Package: $699:

Ten hours of wedding dance private instruction. For those that wish to truly impress – let us design a fancy and glamorous wedding dance routine for you! Your friends and family will be amazed by your performance

The performing couple will appear at your venue in elegant costumes to perform any eight dances that you choose. They will change twice: once to dance dances in the elegant Standard category (Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot, Quickstep, Viennese Waltz), and again to perform the fast-paced Latin dances (Cha-Cha, Rumba, Jive, Samba, Paso Doble, Salsa, Mambo, Meringue, Swing, Hustle).

• Joanne Camilleri – Belly Dancer (Belly Dancing Lessons / Performs at Weddings)

  Belly Dance, Burlesque (cane and chair) solo or in combination with other belly dancers. For VIP event at Casino Niagara last year Joanne performed 2 songs with a 10 foot long Colombian Boa snake for 700 guests. These events are costly as they require hiring the snake and its trainer to oversee the event for safety. Jo has performed with ‘Jupiter’ 6 times now and is very comfortable and adept at working with her.

  All ballroom and Latin dances (fox-trot, waltz, quick-step, cha-cha, jive, swing, etc). Yulia and Andriy also have flyers at at our studio and provide professional first song wedding choreography and private lessons to perfect the steps. Two other teachers are also qualified to do the same.

  Various professional belly dancers (other than Joanne)

  Christina Lee (stage name Samara), Leigh Clarke, Sarah Skinner and more on call if the request requires it. All the belly dancers can wear more conservative costumes and know how to cover with beautiful veils when performing at a more traditional or conservative weddings or event.

  Elisha MacMillan

  Professional African Dancer – Elisha has been studying various forms of dance for the past 23 years, and performing African dance professionally for the past 6 years. She began her career in Montreal dancing with Congalese ballet theatre group, “Convergence Mitshitshi,” presently known as Collectif MOYO. Since she has spent much time in Africa to continue studies of traditional dance in Guinea and Mali, and completed a tour in Ethiopia in 2008, performing contemporary and traditional dance with Ethiopian pop-star Kemer Yousef. Elisha has performed with other Toronto-based artists such as Mohamed Diaby, Tamsir Seck , Njacko Backo, Sani-Abu Mohamed Allen, and Justine Gogoua. She was a member of Ijo Vudu African Dance Co. for one year before joining Manding Foli Kan Dan, specializing in Guinea-style dance. Currently Elisha teaches workshops and pursues her passion, working as a free-lance dancer.

  Pricing

  Belly dancers – 20-30 min set at a rate of $300.00 if the location is local. The rate is the same regardless if the requirement is 5 min (1 song) or 30 min (6 songs).
  Joanne can follow her dance with a dance lesson for the guests for a 30 min period and we adjust the cost accordingly or if the time requested is longer than 30 minutes

  Ballroom and Latin dancers are usually booked to dance for 3-4 fully choreographed songs.
  Rates can fluctuate but a general breakdown is: $300.00 for solo or $500.00 for a couple, depending on the number of dances requested.

• Joanne Camilleri

  Joanne’s passion for dance has been a lifelong physical and internal journey. Her extensive dance training started at the age of five in ballet, jazz and various modern dance techniques. In 1988 she left Canada to explore the vast cultures of the Middle East (Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Jeddah, North West Africa and Egypt) where she had the opportunity to witness firsthand the haunting spiritual depth, historical mysteries, and vast unexplored potential of the art of ‘Raks Sharqi’ (dance of the stomach). In the early 90’s she continued her studies in India, Pakistan and Dubai exploring the subtle nuances of katach and baritnatium with world renowned teachers Partab Parawa, Naheed Sadeeeki, and Sheema Kermani, while widening her scope and understanding of the delicate intricacies of modern and tribal fusion belly dance choreography. From Europe (including Malta – her beloved native homeland) and across North America she has inspired audiences with her own unique physical articulation of dance performances and vivacious teaching style. Today she continues to create solo performances and original Middle Eastern inspired fusion dance pieces with her select troupe of dedicated students and renowned Canadian composer Chris Hall.

  In 2006 she settled her nomadic passions enough to set down roots in Toronto. Joanne is now the founder and Artistic Director of VIVACE STUDIOS – School of Visual and Performing Arts located just north of the Bloor West Village at 291A Jane Street
