CEO & Founder
Owner and principle Event Director, Carla Abramovici directs one Canada’s Largest Wedding Planning teams, since 2008. Here you will find some of the most creative, organized and detail oriented Bridal Co-ordinators and Consultants. With an unparalleled energy and a visible passion for all areas of the Event Planning Industry, Carla strives for perfection with every client and has made it possible for all “Bridal Couples” with any Wedding Budget to afford a Wedding Planner, with packages starting as low as $699.99 for Half Day Co-ordinaton and $1,500 for Partial Co-ordination and $2,500 for Full Co-ordination. With 15 years of Corporate Management experience, she brings to the table extraordinary negotiation skills, a solutions driven approach to the business and a passion for Event Planning & Customer Service. Carla has led the successful execution of over 175 unique weddings and although she specializes in Jewish, Portuguese, European and Canadian weddings, she has experience in both the planning and execution of weddings and events of almost all cultures.
Carla has over 20 years of Executive Management and Human Resource’s experience with a strong focus on Sales Training and People Development / Recruitment. Holding positions in the past in the Retail Fashion sector such as District Training Manager for Guess for all of Canada and District Manager for Costa Blanca for both South Western Ontario Regions and Eastern Ontario Regions. Winning several awards over the years coupled with a solid track records of sales success, she venturned into the Wedding Industry knowing she could make a difference. Starting this business as with many woman interested in getting into Event Planning, came from her very own experience planning her wedding 4 years ago. Being disappointed with the level of professionalism that she encountered in Wedding Vendors that she met, a lack of customer service or follow up, coupled with prices that simply did not make sense, she set out to create a One Stop Wedding Boutique that offered convenience and savings to clients (being able to book several vendors in one place) offering more value for your money. Her philosophy is to continously deliver an exceptional customer service experience, quality and custom products that are unique. Coupled with offering a quick 24 hour turnaround time to all of their new client inquiries and current clients requests. The company goal is to be the Event Industry’s “Best Kept Secret” striving for the gorgeously unique and perfectly executed event!
Bridal Consultants

Elizabeth Correia – Bridal Consultant, joined our team in May 2010 and has been active in the event industry for well over 3 years. WPIC Certified, she brings to us contagious enthusiasm, and a love for planning events. Elizabeth oversee’s our Portuguese and Brazilian weddings with a strong emphasis on the European wedding market. Her mission is to ensure her clients a rewarding process and an outstanding unique event. Elizabeth welcomes the challenges and opportunities presented by an ever-changing marketplace and her positive approach to every situation, makes her a joy to work with. Elizabeth is a Lead Bridal Consultant who’s role is to assist Carla in the development of new staff. Elizabeth was inspired and drawn to Wedding Planning, from her love of working with her women’s group, D.E.V.A for Women, that she founded in 2007. Joining Trade Sensation Events came as a natural evolution and her desire for growth in the Event Planning Industry.
Stefanie Scarcello joined the Trade Sensation Events team in August of 2010 as Bridal Co-ordinator. She will be graduating from an Event Planning Course this Fall 2010 at Humber College. Her passion for Wedding / Event planning led her to apply for an Internship with us, to learn the business from the ground up. She is currently a Part-time office Assistant, and assists at numerous weddings in the field. Stefanie is of Italian decent and will be assisting at Italian and European weddings. She is now a Senior Bridal Co-ordinator within our Wedding Planning team. Her enthusiam, strong sense of urgency, willingness to learn and strong organization skills will lead her into one day becoming a fully trained Bridal Consultant. We welcome her to the team, and look forward to a rewarding working relationship with her.

Miha Maleš joined the Trade Sensation team in July 2011 as a Creative Event Stylist and Draping Artist. He was born in Slovenia, and just recently moved to Toronto in June 2011.
He will also be assisting as Event Co-ordinator at our Slovenian and Eastern European weddings and events. His flare for creativity is a natural born talent, coupled with his loyalty, work ethic and amazing sense of urgency he is a rare find. Miha has a genuine curiosity for both the Event Planning and Decor side of the business and generally crosses over into both as required. He works exeptionally well under pressure and always has a positive outlook – no matter what the situation, coupled with a genuine smile on his face.
Miha’s experience stems from customer service positions on Cruise Ships, and abroad while travelling to different countries to gain experience. His passion besides travelling is unleashing his creative side and with his new position he is finally able to tap into that being a part of the Wedding and Event Decor Set up Teams. We welcome Miha and are excited to have him on our Decor and Wedding Planning Team.
Bogdana Kokovina joined the team as both an Administrative Office Assistant and Bridal Coordinator in October 2011. Bogdana was born and raised in Russia and will be specializing in Russian and Eastern European weddings. While in Russia, Bogdana studied music, piano and dance as well as earning her degree in the field of social work. Bogdana is passionate about Event and Wedding Planning and it`s evident she is striving to build a career in this field. Her attention to detail, her personal charm and dedication, coupled with her vast creativity enable her to establish a great rapport with her clients. Being that Bogdana is also a Ballroom Dancer and Instructor, her artistic background is reflected in her innovative flair. She strongly believes that imagination, patience and optimism are the key components of becoming a great Bridal Co-ordinator.As a former Dance Instructor, she is extremely experienced in putting together a plan and tailoring results that precisely fit the client`s needs. She would be thrilled to be a part of your wedding planning journey !
Mhay Tuazon joined us in October 2010 as a Bridal / Event Co-ordinator specializing in Filipino and Spanish weddings and is currently In Training. Mhay discovered her love & passion for weddings when her brother got engaged and she planned the entire wedding, along with her very own. Mhay has already assisted several events with our Team and her goal is to work towards being a Bridal Consultant leading Weddings and Private Events. In addition, she is also extremely involved with the Decor team in Wedding design and execution and has shown great promise in the Design aspect of the business as well. She is also a great support to the Trade Sensation team with Graphic Design and Product Development. We are extremely pleased to welcome her to the Team.
Stephanie Melissa Corvese joined us in December 2010 as an Event Co-ordinator who specializes in Italian and Canadian weddings. She has her honours Bachelors of Science in Biology and Anthropology and her Masters of Forensic Science. Stephanie’s passion for planning comes from her very creative family who are heavily involved in music, dance, the arts and of course party planning. Being from a mixed background with a very large family, Stephanie has had the opportunity to be involved in several weddings, bridal showers, baby showers, communions, confirmations, birthday and anniversary parties. Stephanie also has a very strong IT Management background and will play in integral role in the development of new programs, tools and continuous web and graphic development for Trade Sensation Events. We are excited about her joining our team, and look forward to her continuous growth within the organization.
Miaed Ahmed joined the Trade Sensation team in March 2011 as a Bridal Co-ordinator and specializes in Middle Eastern and Somalian Weddings. Being raised with both cultures infused, Miaed understands the importance to detail and traditions in both Middle Eastern and Somalian weddings. She has always had a passion for putting together events, and after working at a major catering establishment within the hospitality and tourism industry, and helping plan her brother’s wedding that Miaed became driven to pursue this passion. Miaed is excited about opportunities to bring two people’s love story into an event that will showcase the next chapter in their lives. We are excited to welcome her to the team.
Brittany Avila joined our team in May 2011 as a Bridal Co-ordinator/ Decor Assistant. Brittany is specializing in Portuguese and European weddings. She has been a part of the Portuguese community for over 6 years, having done several community and church events on a grand scale. She is currently also doing the QC Online Course and plans to graduate by end of 2011. Her strong desire to become a Bridal Co-ordinator with Trade Sensation Events won her a spot on our growing team. Her goal is to work towards someday leading a Decor Team, her enthusiasm and design creativity coupled with her loyalty are unparaleled. She is excited about the opportunity to be a part of weddings of all cultures and will work tirelessly to ensure perfection on your special day. Her style is a perfect blend of sense of urgency and detailed execution, so you are sure to have your wedding go off without a hitch, if Brittany has something to do with it.
Reja Sohail joined the Trade Sensation team in August 2011. Reja is of Pakistani decent and will be assisting at both Pakistani and South Asian weddings.
She is currently studying at Sheridan College to become a make up artist. She discovered her true passion for the wedding industry by growing up in such a colourful and vibrant culture. Her talent in creativity has shown up in her makeup portfolio that has lead her to pursue a similar career in Wedding Planning and Decor. She also has a very strong customer service background in the retail sector, which she has been a part of for the last 5 years. With this she has gained the skills to understand a customer’s wants, needs, and desires and how best to help them achieve complete satisfaction. Reja strongly believes that all couples deserve a Bridal Consultant on their wedding day, weddings should never be stressful and her objective is to educate couples that for a small amount of money for Day of Co-ordination at the very least, they can have a magical, stress -free, perfectly executed day. Her Goal is to become a successful Bridal Co-ordinator and she hopes to make a difference in someone’s life through her involvement.
Elina Shikhverdieva joined our team in November 2011, as a Bridal Co-ordinator and our In-house Graphic Designer. Elina was born in Caucasus, but lived in Moscow, Russia for the latter part of her life, consequently she will be specializing in Eastern European weddings, mainly focused on Russian weddings but with a taste of Dagestani and Azerbaijani flare. Elina is extremely enthusiastic, approachable and friendly – a kind individual that is commited to everything she does. She believes in going the extra mile and has shown to be fiercely loyal. even at this early stage.
She is culturally driven, and simply put – a firework of emotions. She has a keen eye for detail and a striking talent for colour, decor styling and design.
Elina is of the muslim religion, she will also be working on upcoming Muslim weddings. She has a deep appreciation for South Asian weddings as they are rich and vibrant in both culture and traditions, so she will also be assisting our South Asian Bridal Consultant Neha, on those as well.
She is currently a Business Marketing student at Seneca College and will be graduating in 2012. Elina is also a student of our Wedding Planning Mentorship Program at Trade Sensation Events and will be graduating Spring 2012. We are beyond excited to have her on our team, she will surely be a huge asset to both the Wedding Planning Team, as well as elevating our Advertising & Marketing Campaigns for 2012 – to a whole new level.
Joni Kwan joined the Trade Sensation team in August 2011, in training as a Bridal Co-ordinator, specializing in Asian weddings. She has a Douple Diploma in Wedding Planning and Event Management, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Drawing and Painting. She was born in Hong Kong and moved to Canada when she was in high school, speaks fluent Cantonese, Mandarin and English, understands the culture and traditions in Asian weddings. She has a dynamic and engaging personality, has an amazing work ethic and strong attention to detail, coupled with a good sense of humour and a really warm and genuine smile. She would be thrilled to be a part of the team and to make your wedding day a perfect and special one.
Decorators
Supriya Mehra joined Trade Sensation Events as a Vendor Partner in November 2010, as an Event and Wedding Decorator, specializing in South Asian weddings. Being born and brought up in India, she has passion for playing with vibrant colours and royal fabrics. Not only does she have immense creativity to bring your decor dreams to reality, she holds a Certified Management Accounting Designation that helps to use her strong financial acumen to bring any event or wedding decor into reality within the required budget. She understands how important the wedding day is for any bride and goes out of the way to provide exceptional customer service, incorporate given decor ideas with her own along with immense professionalism and flexibility.
Invitation Designers
Shira is an artist, illustrator and designer and has joined Trade Sensation Events as a Caligraphy and Stationery Designer in October 2010. Her calligraphy and custom design work has been featured in Food & Drink Magazine, Mark McEwan’s cookbook Great Food at Home, and in an upcoming issue of Wedding Bells. Her pictures and paintings have been exhibited at spaces including The Rivoli, The Gladstone Hotel, Engine Gallery (Nuit Blanche), On the Edge Festival (St. Catharines City Hall), and the Queen West Art Crawl. She creates custom, hand made stationary and decor for weddings and other events.
Shira is also a local theatre artist. She has performed and created performance work with a number of independent theatre companies, and is an Associate Artist with UnSpun Theatre.
Sheena Patel upon completing her advanced education in graphic design, she started up her own company where she now specializes in graphic design as well as luxury wedding and event invitations and print design. Some of the companies’ creative print work has been published in such magazines as National Geographic Adventurer, Virtuoso Life, and Leaders. Having worked with large clients like UPS, YMCA as well as Allergan Canada, her company brings a corporate and contemporary look and feel to the creative table, which can also be seen in her wedding Invitation samples.
